Ceannaire Medical Ltd recognizes the urgent need to address climate change and commits to achieving carbon reduction by 90% by 2045. This plan outlines the steps and strategies to reduce our carbon emissions across all operations.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Carbon Reduction: Projected Vs Actual

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets. We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next years to 64,607 by 2045 this is a reduction of 90%.

Upstream deliveries are calculated from suppliers address worldwide.

Ceannaire Medical Ltd no not own any delivery vehicles.

 2022 – Business activities are recovering post-pandemic no travel restrictions.

 2023 – Business activity has accelerated post-pandemic levels, we have new members of staff and new products added to our portfolio.

Carbon Reduction Projects

1. Energy Efficiency Improvements

o Upgrade lighting systems to LED technology across all facilities by 2025.

o Implement smart building systems to optimize heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) by 2025.

o Conduct energy audits annually to identify further energy-saving opportunities.

o Move meeting to online where possible to reduce travel by internal colleagues by 2025.

2. Renewable Energy Adoption

o Transition to 100% renewable electricity by 2030 through on-site solar installations and power purchase agreements (PPAs).

o Invest in wind energy projects to offset electricity consumption.

3. Sustainable Transportation

o Transition 50% of the company vehicle fleet to electric vehicles (EVs) by 2025 and 100% by 2030 (were possible).

o Implement a carpooling program and incentivize the use of public transportation for employees were possible.

o Provide EV charging stations at all company locations.

4. Waste Reduction and Management

o Achieve a 75% waste diversion rate from landfills by 2025 through enhanced recycling and composting programs.

o Implement a zero-waste policy by 2030, focusing on reducing waste generation and increasing reuse and recycling.

o Paperless office

5. Supply Chain Engagement

o Partner with suppliers to encourage and support their efforts in reducing their carbon footprints.

o Implement a supplier code of conduct that includes sustainability criteria by 2030.

o Conduct annual assessments of supplier emissions and set collaborative reduction targets.

o Reduce number of international shipments and increase size of those being shipped by 2030.

o Source from local supplies where possible.

6. Carbon Offsetting and Sequestration

o Invest in verified carbon offset projects, such as reforestation and soil carbon sequestration, to neutralize unavoidable emissions.

o Support and participate in local and global reforestation initiatives.

7.  Monitoring and Reporting

o Establish a Sustainability Committee to oversee the implementation and progress of the carbon reduction plan.

o Use advanced software to track and report emissions annually.

o Publish an annual sustainability report detailing progress towards targets and any adjustments to the plan.

8. Employee and Stakeholder Engagement

o Conduct regular training and awareness programs for employees on sustainability practices and carbon reduction initiatives.

o Engage with stakeholders through transparent communication and collaborative projects to enhance community and industry-wide efforts.

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

The environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2022 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 7,931 tCO2e, a 2.22% reduction against the 2022 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract.

- No internal air travel in Ireland or UK.

- Reduction in company vehicle type and usage.

Ceannaire Medical Ltd Leadership team are committed to Ceannaire Medical Ltd reaching our target reduction plan and remain confident that our current and future measures will enable us to achieve our target reduction in advance of 2045.

Due to the nature of our business to reach Net Zero Ceannaire Medical Ltd will look to invest in Cardon offsetting initiatives.

Declaration and Sign Off

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.

Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.



Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body)
